Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 1 year experience testing mobile applications.
• General knowledge of QA methodologies, principles and techniques.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of Agile Development (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, etc).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with debugging using developer tools to look at HTML and/or CSS is a plus.
• Experience working in a tech startup environment is preferred.
• Experience with automated mobile UI testing preferred.
• Experience with programming is a plus (SQL, node, python, etc)

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. They will assess Kora's mobile app and web app to ensure software quality through manual and automated testing. This position is full-time at the Kora office in Toronto, Canada.

Job Responsibility

• Conduct various phases of functional and nonfunctional testing to certify the quality of new software releases, product features, and bug fixes.
• Help establish quality assurance measures and testing for new development and enhancements.
• Provide input as required to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new products and product features, with an eye toward testability.
• Report test progress, test results, and quality of application changes and report out on defects.
• Able to test Front-end & Back-end application and web services for the Kora App and Kora website.
• Work closely with internal teams during all phases to test applications during the software development lifecycle.
• Skill set and knowledge of debugging defects.
• Proactively identify new tools, processes, approaches and continuously strive to find ways to improve the overall testing strategy.
• Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
